Thats because you are printing using the wrong driver for your printer. Check the specifics for your printer on the printer information page.

You should read the section on PC file sharing before continuing as samba also provides printing services. Samba offers unix printers to microsoft clients to print to.

PC's print using the software drivers they have to convert a page/document into either postscript or the printer's local language. Then they send that to the printer.

Samba will recieve the print job and then spool it via unix printing system.

You should just believe me on this and refer now to the unix printing system.
